First of all, it’s important to understand that “spiritual” does not mean “religious.” Spiritual means that I am just as likely to reference Buddha as Christ. I will use bits of every teacher, every philosopher that I can in order to make a point.
Most of the references I use most often though tend to be the spiritual and psychological teachers of today; authors such as: Dr. Wayne Dyer. Marianne Williamson, Gary Zukav, John Gray, Louise Hay, Dan Millman, Deepak Chopra, John Bradshaw, Dr. Elaine Aron, Esther and Jerry Hicks, Eckhart Tolle, Sanaya Roman, Shakti Gawain and many others.
As a Spiritual Life Coach, I use these teachings to help my clients understand how their belief systems were formed, how to peel away the layers of beliefs to find the core negative beliefs that are creating unwanted experiences in our lives.
More often than not, it is our perception of life that needs to be changed...not necessarily drastic life changes. However, small perception changes can result in dramatic variations to how we respond to our world and how we now perceive our world responding to us.
Like me when I started down this path, most of the clients I work with aren’t seeking to be spiritual masters who meditate for hours at a time. They just want their lives to work in a way that feels good to them.
What I help my clients understand through what might best be described as a form of “spiritual psychology” is that every spiritual teacher has come here to teach us that very thing...how to create our lives the way we desire. I help my clients piece together what they know so we can fill the gaps in their understanding.
This process is not about me teaching you everything from square one. Everyone knows more than they “think” they do. Everyone already really knows that they are a spiritual being and that they can create their lives as they wish. They have simply forgotten some aspects of how to do this and how to let go of the thoughts, feelings and beliefs that aren’t serving them.
My role as your Coach is to help you recognize what you already know and then work with you to create permanent change in the areas we identify as your primary motivations for change.
